When I think about what I gave up
It hurts
My heart will never be free of you
I am still clothed
With your fingerprints
And they promised no freedom
Forever locked inside the cell walls
of what’s inhabited
the divine muscle
that generates love
I loved you
I truly did
But there’s something like this
that’s not meant to be forever.
However,
the feeling it’s given
stays within the counted eternity
